                               Biography of Diego Rivera

DIEGO RIVERA
1886-1957

.- Diego Rivera was born on December 8, 1886 in Guanajuato, México with his twin brother José Carlos María, who died at the age of one and a half.

In 1891, Diego's younger sister María del Pilar was born. A year later, she moved to México City, in 1896 she entered the Academy of San Carlos, and in 1902 she began to work on her own.

In 1907 he had his first exhibition that earned him a scholarship from the state government of Veracruz, 8 years later his son Diego was born and 7 years later he married Guadalupe Martin, and in 1928 he returned from his trip to finish his murals in the secretary Of public education and in that same date divorced of Guadalupe Martin.

A year later he married the painter Frida Kahlo, in 1943 I executed a series of murals for the hall ciros and 10 years later I decorate the facade of the theater of the insurgents with mosaic glass 2 years later he is diagnosed cáncer and on 24 November of 1957 dies in the city of México.
